out of pocket spending for health care is a common practice among urban poor in Mubende municipality. However, the practice leaves them unable to access medical care when in time of cash shortage. Working with private health service providers, the project targets mobilizing, educating and enrolling 480 households of the urban poor on to insurance schemes by 2028. This will lead to early detection and treatment of diseases among the urban poor to avert potential fatalities.
